Black Adam 2022: Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam- Black Adam is an American superhero film based on DC characters. DC films, New Line Cinema, seven bucks production, and Flynn picture Co, produced the film, and it is the eleventh film in the DC Extended Universe and a spin-off from the 2019 movie Shazam.

Jaume Collet Serra directed the movie, and Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sonrab Noshirvani wrote the story. Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Nian Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwen Kensari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, Pierce Brosnan, and Mo Amer. Warner Bros Pictures distributed the film. On October 3, 2022, the premiere of the movie was released in Mexico City and released on October 21 in the United States.
The budget of the film is $195-200 million. This movie is a box office hit with $152.9 million. In September 2014 Johnson was attached to the cinema Shazam to portray a villain Black Adam. But the production team decided to give Black Adam his movie. The production team planned to release the movie in 2021, due to the pandemic and the casting process for the Justice Society of America took another year. Between April to August 2021, the filming takes place at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and Los Angeles.
Let’s look into the story of the movie.
The tyrannical king of kahndaq, Ahk-Ton creates the crown of Sabbac in 2600 BC. The Crown gives the most incredible power to whoever wears it. The Council of Wizards chooses a young boy and gives him the power of Shazam, who killed Ahk-Ton and ends his reign. Adrianna Tomaz, an Archaeologist tries to find the Crown of Sabbac with her brother’s help Karim and her colleagues Samir and Ishmael. Now the Kahndaq is oppressed by the Intergang. Intergang suddenly attacks Adrianna and killed Samir.
After that Adrianna awakens the Teth-Adam whom she believes is the champion of Kahndaq. Adam killed several troops of Intergang. But the US government considers him a threat and contacts the Justice Society of America to catch him.
The Justice Society includes Hawkman, Cyclone, Doctor Fate, and Atom Smasher. Justice Society arrives to stop Adam from not to cause any more problems for Kahntaq and Intergang troops. Then they explain to Adrianna that Adam is not a Savior, but a madman who was a prisoner and entombed. After Ishamael reveals that he is the rightful owner of the crown and the leader of Intergang. Adrianna stole the crown, so he chases Adrianna’s son Amon to trade the crown. Justice Society and Adam decide to give the crown to Ishamael. But he betrayed them and shot Amon. So Adam used his power to save Amon and killed Ishamael.
In that saving process, Amon was injured severely. After that Adam reveals that he is not the real champion of Kahntaq, but it’s his son Hurut who has been granted the power of Shazam and is the champion of Kahntaq. Knowing that Hurut was too Powerful, the troops of Integrand decide to kill Hurut’s family, including Adam. So Hurut gives Adam the power to save himself. By knowing that Intergang troops killed the powerless Hurut. With huge anger, Adam destroyed the Kahntaq’s palace and killed many of the king’s men. So the council of wizards deemed him unworthy and imprisoned him with the Rock of Eternity.
After imprisoning Adam the justice society finds that Ishamael intentionally shot at Amon and made Adam kill him when he wears the crown of sabbac so that he can be reborn as the champion of the six demons of sabbac. To claim his power and throne, he arises from the underworld. Now the fight took place in Ahk-Ton ruins. Before dying, Fate had a conversation with Adam in his Cyro sleep. While sabbac fights with the justice society and is about to kill them, Adam appears and killed sabbac. In the end, Adam takes a new role with the name of Black Adam and decides to protect the Kahndaq palace.
