The place of women is society is not quite good at all till today except for some of the few cases. Woman mostly from the rural areas don’t know what freedom is. They are compelled to live under the shade of their spouses without having any aim in life. Their whole life is devoted in taking care of the family and fulfilling everyone’s wishes without saying a single word. This is the real story that we hardly see on big screen.“Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey” perfectly portrays the issue.
The Director has done a fabulous job by crafting the movie with utmost realism. The so called big issues are very rare to be portrayed like that. It’s a movie not with good contents but also a very important social message so everyone needs to see this.
“Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey” Story:
The movie is directed by Vipin Das. The main character is Jaya ,when she was unmarried she was living with her parents who are not open minded at all . While she was living with her parents her father and one of her uncle was literally ruling her life she wasn’t able to choose her dress by herself or taking some important decisions about her career.
She made a Malayalam teacher at college who was initially seemed to be a open minded person but as time goes by the opposite seems to be established.
In spite of letting her choosing her subject ( she wanted to study anthropology but was forced to do NA), he was trying to manipulate her even interfering in her personal things like Facebook. Basically he was controlling her life which is not something that we are interested in.
Now in the next part we see the family came to know about it and just like a typical middle class family they instantly decides to get her married and of course it will be a arranged marriage.
She was not ready for it so she wanted to take a stand for herself but nothing really worked In the time they were choosing a man Rajesh entered the chat. Everything didn’t work in her favor and they got married somehow.
But the real drama begins when she entered her marital home. Where everything started to happen just opposite to her favor. One day she made add dish by herself and Rajesh was not satisfied because all he wanted was idiyappams and kadala curry. He gets angry which was not needed at all.
She became a victim of domestic violence and unfortunately that started to increase day by day .He used to slap her almost every day.And no one would know her pain, as usual.
When she talked to her parents they said her to adjust her. As many of the parents will say. But only she knew how difficult it was for her. But that didn’t last long. She had to take a stand for herself as she knew it. One day she kicked her, yes she did. So the situation worsens .
Then in the ending their relationship moves towards a probable separation. The only thing that worked out for her that the judge said in favor of her freedom. What actually happened in the last is a bit surprising. For that you have to watch it.

The performance of the lead stars Stand out to be amazing. The realism that they bought to the skin is something a lot of people would relate to. Jayas’ character should be an inspiration to many girl who are facing it’s the same situation as herself but due to the pressure they can’t take your stand for themselves.
The character played by Rajesh has also made a mark .Fans were really impressed with the storyline as well as the acting.
Fans as well as critics responded very positively throughout the social media.
The original movie is in Malayalam but you can watch Hindi versions as well.
A movie that can change your mindset, a movie that can give you the power and let you be A woman who can take a stand for herself. And kudos to the director and scriptwriter for this masterpiece.
