Netflix recently announced another adaptation of the video game “Gears Of War”-Netflix has back-to-back come up with many animated series from game franchises, yet another animated series is on the way, this time adapted from a popular Xbox video game called “Gears Of War“. the streaming platform announced that it partnered with ‘The Coalition’ to ‘adapt’ the “Gears of War” video game saga into “a live-action feature film” and an adult animated series.
Netflix tweeted:
“Gears of War ” was released 16 years ago today. To mark the occasion, Netflix partnered with The Coalition to adapt the @GearsofWar video game saga into a live-action feature film, followed by an adult animated series with the potential for more stories to follow!”
This announcement was made taking the 16th anniversary of the release of the first season of the franchise into account. The critically acclaimed popular game show with a huge fan following was reeled on 7th November 2006
The potential plot of “Gears of war”
Netflix’s plot synopsis won’t likely contrast with the original game series plot. Though much information will be revealed soon, the game is about alien Locusts and a human-occupied planet. The series is set in a world on the verge of disintegration due to the threat of Locust, which is an alien threat. Marcus Fenix, a dishonored lieutenant leads a fireteam called Delta Squad, humanity’s last hope against the Locusts.
Dave Bautista has been in rumors that he expressed his desire to play Marcus Fenix in that movie. Bautista has previously described Marcus Fenix as his dream role. Details regarding the casting, plot, and release date of the Gears of War live-action movie and animated series will be revealed sooner or later.
