William Dennis Weaver as Chester Goode played the role of Matt Dillon’s partner and U.S. Deputy Marshal. He travels with Dillon throughout the series. In the real life, Dennis Weaver was the president of the Screen Actors Guild Award from 1973 to 1975.
Milburn Stone as Galen Adams aka Doc portrays the role of the doctor in Dodge City. He has appeared in all twenty seasons. Milburn won the supporting role for the series Gunsmoke by Emmy Award for Outstanding Performance.
