T20 World Cup 2022 Points Table
The group stage of t20 World Cup was started on 16th October 2022. In the group stage the 8 teams are divide into two groups each group has four teams and among those four top two teams will qualify for super 12. The group A leaders and the group B runners up will join the group A of super 12 and the group A runners up and the winners of B will join B of super 12 according to rules of the competition.
In group A of the group stage the teams are-: Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Namibia and United Arab Emirates.While in group B the teams are-: Zimbabwe, Ireland, Scotland and West Indies. In the group A the Asian champions Sri Lanka is the favourites to qualify for the next stage of the competition and do so. On the other, hand in the group Netherlands and Namibia are the underdogs. Although, Netherlands makes to the second stage of the competition along with Sri Lanka.
In group B, West Indies the two times t20 champions are favourites to qualify for the next stage of the competition, but they finished at the bottom of the group with just one win the group stage.
As the West Indies were knocked out of the competition from group B Zimbabwe and Ireland makes to next stage of the competition. All the matches of the group stages were ended today. After the group stage competition finish the table look like this-:
