Box office results for “Thank God,” the comedy-drama directed by Indra Kumar, were revealed on Tuesday, October 25. At the domestic box office, the movie made about Rs 8.10 crore in India on its first day of sales. And Day 2 box office,26 October , Wednesday. At Box office, the movie collection RS 7 to 8 Crore in India on Day 2. According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, “Thank God” picked up steam in the late afternoon and might gain traction throughout the lengthy weekend.
In the movie ‘Thank God’ Sidharth Malhotra plays a self-centered man who gets into an accident and ends up in “Yamlok.” Ajay Devgn’s Chitragupta promises him a second chance at life in exchange for participating in a game. In addition to Sidharth and Ajay, Rakul Preet Singh plays the lead in the movie. Kanwaljeet Singh, Kiara Khanna, Kuku Sharda, and Seema Pahwa are among the supporting actors in the movie. The movie is legally recognised a remake of the Danish film, “Sorte Kugler”– the Norwegian movie which translates to “Thank God”.
People’s reactions to the first preview of the movie were divided, with some finding it upsetting to watch Ajay Devgn’s portrayal of God’s accountant, Chitragupta, interacting with partially clothed women. However, the second trailer aroused interest, and the movie’s song “Manike” has since topped the charts.
The audience has also said that the film, “Thank God” has elements in common with Amitabh Bachchan’s 2008 film “God Tussi Great Ho,” which also starred Salman Khan in the lead position. According to several sources based on audience feedback, the sole distinction between the two movies is the length of Ajay Devgn’s appearance in the Sidharth Malhotra.
Directed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Sunir Kheterpal, Deepak Mukut, Anand Pandit, and Markand Adhikari are the producers of “Thank God.” The movie lists Yash Shah as a co-producer.
