The Kashmir Files Box office collections – Written and directed by Agnihotri, the film depicts the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley in the 1990s. Produced by Zee Studios, it stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi.

According to film critic and film analyst Taran Adarsh, the highly acclaimed film has broken the records of previous Bollywood blockbusters pre and post pandemic.
‘The Kashmir Files’ has shown promising results on Day 4 of the box office worth Rs 15.05 crore during the pandemic.

Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ – which released last month on February 25 – earned Rs 8.19 crore on its fourth day, with Akshay Kumar’s cop action film ‘Sooryavanshi’ earning Rs 14.51 crore. Ranveer Singh’s sports drama ’83’ earned Rs 7.29 crore on the fourth day.
Ajay Devgn’s ‘Tanhaji’ had earned Rs 13.75 crore, and Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Uri’ had earned just Rs 10.51 crore, both days before Covid hit.
The film has collected a total of Rs 42.20 crore in four days since its release on Friday (March 11) last week. It earned Rs 3.55 crore on the day of release. During the weekend, the film earned Rs 8.50 crore (Saturday) and Rs 15.10 crore (Sunday).
Meanwhile, till now eight states have made the film The Kashmir Files tax free. Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Tripura, Goa, Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana have exempted entertainment tax from films.
