Bruno Kirby, Carrie Fisher, and Steven Ford are seen in supporting roles and is directed by Rob Reiner. When two college graduates, previously in a short-term friendship, meet each other five years later, they involuntarily have to deal with each other’s feelings. It is rated 7.7/10 on IMDb, 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, and 76% on Metacritic. It was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor, Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, and was awarded the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay.

  1. Dumb and Dumber (2014):- Dumb and Dumber is one of the best comedy film series available on Netflix. Its first film hit the theatres on 6th December 1994, followed by one in 2003, and the latest one in 2014. It stars Jim Carrey (as Lloyd Christmas) and Jeff Daniels (as Harry Dunne) in lead roles, with Mike Starr, Lauren Holly, and Brady Bluhm in side roles. Two simple, good-at-heart, but extremely stupid friends find a package. Unbeknownst to them, it has money that is connected with a kidnapping mob. The iconic film is directed by Peter Farrelly. It scored 7.3/10 on IMDb, 68% on Rotten Tomatoes, and 41% on Metacritic. Nominations include MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Kiss (which it won), MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Duo, People’s Choice Award for Favourite Comedic Movie, etc.

  1. Free Guy (2021):- Free Guy, released on 13th August 2021, is a comedy film starring one of the funniest actors in Hollywood, none other than Ryan Reynolds. He is trapped as an NPC (non-player character) in an open-world video game and finds out that he is the key to the classic ‘save the day’ before it’s too late, chancing with a little bit of romance. Lots of comedic dialogues, characters, and situations make it a great film to enjoy. It is PG-13 rated though. Directed by Shawn Levy, it won famous awards such as MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Comedic Performance and People’s Choice Award for Favourite Comedic Movie. It is rated 7.1/10 on IMDb, 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, and 4.6/5 on Vudu. It was also nominated for Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

  1. Rush Hour (1998):- Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker starrer ‘Rush Hour’ is one of a kind, jam-packed action-comedy movie, directed by Brett Ratner, and released in 1998. A Hong Kong inspector teams up with an L.A.P.D police officer to investigate a case, involving the abduction of a Chinese consul’s young daughter, Soo Yung. Lee (Jackie) brings a serious workmanship ethic and loads of action, whereas Carter (Chris) carries a typical American work style and a hell lot of comedy lines, the mixture of which has been perfectly blended that sat pretty well with the viewers. Roselyn Sanchez is also seen in a supporting role. It garnered a ranking of 7/10 on IMDb, 61% on Rotten Tomatoes, and 4.6/5 on the streaming platform Vudu. It is also a part of a 3-part series, with one movie trumping the next one in terms of comedy, released in 2001 and the latest one released in 2007.

This popular animation movie was released in 2010, with the incredibly funny actor Steve Carell voicing Felonious Gru, a devious bald, long-nosed criminal. He adopts three sweet little orphan girls for a master plan that he has devised. He plans to carry out the biggest heist of all time, along with his small, yellow, and dangerous followers – the Minions. But the innocence of the girls makes him doubt his decisions, especially when they potentially see him as a father figure. It is directed by Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud. It performed well with the audience and critics alike, with a good rating of 7.6/10 on IMDb, 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, and 72% on Metacritic. It was awarded the Blimp Award in the Favourite Animated Movie category.
