Migos rapper Takeoff Dead at 28, Shot Brutally in Houston
The rapper Takeoff from the popular American hip-hop group Migos was brutally shot dead in an early morning shootout in Houston, as confirmed by TMZ Hip Hop. He died on the spot. He was originally named Kirshnik Khari Ball and was merely a 28-year-old.
The youngest member of the band was playing dice with his fellow Migos member and his uncle, Quavo at 2:30 AM on Tuesday morning, dated 1st November when this incident took place. It took place on a balcony outside the 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley.
Reports tell us that another two people have been seriously injured and have been hospitalized. No arrests have yet been announced. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner asked the witnesses to come ahead at the scene to come forward at a news conference yesterday afternoon. This news has taken all Migos fans by shock and the internet is flooded with tributes and mourns.
Migos was founded in 2008 in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and originally composed of Takeoff, Quavo, and Offset. Offset is married to Cardi B. It is managed by Coach K, who is known for his collaborations with producers such as DJ Durel, Murda Beatz, Zaytoven, etc. It has received much recognition and was nominated frequently for many awards such as BET Award for Best Group, BET Award for Best Collaboration, and also the YouTube Music Award.
The band is one of the leading groups of the generation, famous for inventing a style of rapping they called the ‘Migos Flow’. Some of the best songs it has procured include Versace, Open It Up, Stir Fry, Bad & Boujee, Deadz, Walk It Talk It, Slippery, and many more. The band also released a three-series album called Culture I, II, and III. Overall, the band has sold more than three and a half million albums combined in the USA and UK.
