Despite a quiet night on offense from former
Boston Celtics
floor general
Shane Larkin
his Turkish National Team managed to defeat the Belgian National Team on Tuesday morning
the Miami product finding other ways to help his team to a 78-63 win over Belgium in Group A
EuroBasket
play.
The Celtics alumnus put up and made just one 2-point field goal
attempt in the contest despite playing for just over 32 minutes of game time
and got to the free throw line once
splitting his attempts for a total of just 3 points in the victory for Turkey.
Larkin instead focused on being more of a pure point guard in this game with a total of 6 assist
perhaps out of concern with his rough shooting contest in Turkey’s loss to Georgia on Sunday.
The Cincinnati native also had 4 rebounds and 2 steals to go with as many turnovers and no personal fouls.
