Jannik Sinner announces Hamburg withdrawal, reveals where he plans to play next

Jannik Sinner has announced his withdrawal from Hamburg as he wants to give himself a bit more time

to recover from an ankle injury before returning to action. Sinner last played at Wimbledon

where he suffered a quarterfinal defeat to eventual champion Novak Djokovic.

Sinner had a two-set lead versus Djokovic but the Serb stormed back to win the match 5-7 2-6 6-3 6-2 6-2

In the fourth set, Sinner slightly twisted his ankle but was able to continue and finish the match

Now, Sinner's ankle is still not at 100 percent and the Italian won't be making his Hamburg debut next week.

Also, Sinner revealed he plans to return to action in Umag, which kicks off on July 25
