Rutgers football hosted a fan festival on Sunday, providing a much-needed
connection between the community and the program.
The festival featured a little bit of everything from giveaways (a block ‘R’ season ticket schedule)
to photo opportunities and autographs with players as well as the coaching staff.
There was even free food (did somebody say chicken fingers?).
These moments play a big part in public relations and marketing for a football program
that is trying to rebuild its image after some difficult seasons in the Big Ten.
The Scarlet Knights are coming off a 5-8 season that saw them
return to a bowl game for the first time since 2014.
