There is optimism surrounding the upward trajectory for Rutgers women’s volleyball

as they head into their second season under Caitlin Schweihofer.

Last season, their first with their new head coach, the Scarlet Knights went 8-21

(an improvement in the win total from the previous season’s 6-14 record).

With several graduate transfers coming in and a solid recruiting class,

there is the sense that the program can be competitive in the ultra-tough Big Ten.

A conference that, last year, had the top two programs in the nation and finished with four schools in the top 10.

“This was a really huge goal for me from my interview process, but also just within the first season,

I recognized that as much as I love College Avenue Gym — we still practice there – we added air conditioning for preseason.
