Ryan Pepiot gets first big-league win as Dodgers beat Rockies

The first time Ryan Pepiot got the call to the big leagues his blood pressure must have spiked.

Pepiot got the call Sunday that he was needed to make another spot start

and afford the rest of the Dodgers’ starting rotation an extra day of rest

between outings during this stretch of 20 games without an off day

Pepiot was in El Paso with Triple-A Oklahoma City. He packed up his gear and caught a plane to Los Angeles.

Two days later, he has his first major-league win to take with him on his return trip

going the first five innings in the Dodgers’ 5-2 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night.

“Definitely with each time I’ve been out here, I’ve been a little more comfortable each time,”

he said. “Today, I kind of really put the pieces together

going out there – a home game, a night game, lot of adrenaline.”
