Tennessee football has indefinitely suspended linebacker William Mohan after the redshirt sophomore was arrested 

for domestic assault early Sunday morning, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel. 

Mohan reportedly faces a felony charge aggravated domestic assault after assaulting a woman. 

Mohan joined Tennessee in May 2021 as a transfer from Michigan, having originally been a four-star linebacker recruit from Brooklyn, per Rivals.

He appeared in 12 games last season, his first in Knoxville, as a back-up linebacker and special-teamer. 

Police reportedly responded to a domestic disturbance call at 6 a.m. on Sunday in Knoxville,  

where a woman identified as Mohan's girlfriend claimed he was physically and verbally aggressive with her, 

including grabbing her by the throat multiple times. 

The woman had reportedly invited Mohan to her apartment, but denied his attempt to initiate s*x after 

he showed up intoxicated with a near-empty large bottle of alcohol. Mohan allegedly became angry and began deriding
