What’s Happening in All of Us Are Dead Season 2
In Season 2 of “All of Us Are Dead,” we’ll still see the fight against zombies as the main story. But the director, Lee Jae-kyoo, is making some changes. He’s making certain characters less violent to make the show more enjoyable for a bigger audience. Here’s what he said:
“Making a show from a webcomic is different from making a movie or TV series. I made some characters, like Gwi-nam and Na-yeon, less scary to make more people like the show,” said Lee Jae-kyoo.
“It’s been more than 30 years since I was in high school. The webcomic started in 2009. A decade is a long time, and things change. I watched how high school students act today, but it was hard to understand some things. We talked to the young actors to make sure we got it right,” the director explained.
Lee Jae-kyoo suggested that in Season 2, the virus might spread to Japan, but the whole story will still mostly happen in South Korea.
Also, in Season 2, we might learn more about hybrids like Nam-ra, who can use the virus for their benefit but still act somewhat human. They’re a danger because they’re always hungry for human flesh. Lee wants the show to make us think about ourselves, and this idea will continue in the new season.
“The start of the zombie virus was used to show who takes responsibility and who doesn’t when something bad happens, like school violence. Even though it’s a show with lots of action, I want it to make people think about themselves,” he said.
We don’t have a trailer or release date for Season 2 yet. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear more about this South Korean series.
