The new season of Kengan Ashura, Season 3, is set to be released in 2023. Netflix’s official Twitter account for the anime series recently shared a cool picture, and in a tweet, they said that the new season will start in September 2023.
Netflix Anime and Netflix France also gave us more details in March 2023. They told us the exact day, which is September 21, 2023. They even showed us a picture with one of the characters, Tokija Ouma, and some other new artwork.
What’s going to happen in Season 3 of Kengan Ashura?
In this season, we’ll follow Ohma Tokita, a brave fighter who’s part of the Nogi Group and competes in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament. This tournament is tough because gladiators fight to win fame and money for their company sponsors. The winners can control a lot of different markets and businesses.
These kinds of fights have been happening for a long time in Japan, even during the Edo era when they built arenas for them. In the last season, Ohma fought against Raian, a tricky assassin from the Kure Clan who had a personal grudge against him. Ohma won, but it was a really tough battle because he used his Advance technique, which made him stronger but hurt his body a lot.
After that tough fight, Ohma’s health got really bad, and he fainted. So, even though he won, it took a toll on him. In the next part of the tournament, which we’ll see in season three, Ohma will have to fight even stronger opponents and deal with his own limitations.
In season three, we’ll also learn more about why the other fighters are in the tournament, the stories of the sponsors, and how this competition affects politics and money. As Ohma fights for his life and honor in a huge arena, get ready for a season filled with action, suspense, and drama.
